How we research

Every guide is written from the LuxuryTrex office in the UK. Material claims (Italian vs German calf, lead-free vs traditional crystal, ISO/IEC 14443 RFID standard testing) are sourced from primary specifications and verified by hand. We name specific competitor products where comparison helps; we name specific care products (Saphir Renovateur, Kiwi Neutral) where the recommendation is genuine.

What we won't do

• Generic "top 10" listicles padded with affiliate links to products we haven't handled
• Manufactured "review scores" without honest comparison context
• Hidden affiliate disclosures — we own everything we recommend
• Buy-our-stuff conclusions on guides where another brand's product would genuinely fit better (we've recommended Filson and Saddleback in our own laptop bag guide)
