Delivery & shipping

How long does UK delivery take? +

Standard UK delivery is 2-3 working days, fully tracked via Royal Mail or DPD depending on size. Free over £50; £4.99 below threshold. Express next-day delivery is available at checkout for an additional fee, with orders placed before 2pm dispatched same day.

Do you ship internationally? +

Yes — we ship to most EU countries, the US, Canada, and Australia. Rates calculated automatically at Stripe Checkout based on weight and destination. EU delivery typically 5-7 working days; US/Canada 7-10 working days.

When is free shipping triggered? +

Free UK shipping on all orders over £50. Below £50, standard shipping is £4.99 (still tracked, still 2-3 day delivery). The £50 threshold is total cart value before shipping/tax, not per item.

Can I track my order? +

Yes — every order ships tracked. You receive a tracking link by email within 1 working day of dispatch. Tracking updates as the parcel moves through the courier network.

What courier do you use? +

Smaller items (wallets, watch rolls, glassware) ship via Royal Mail Tracked 24 or 48. Larger items (lamps, mirrors, full leather bags) ship via DPD Next Day or DPD Standard. Choice is automatic based on item dimensions.

Returns & refunds

What is your returns policy? +

30-day no-quibble returns on everything. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Free UK returns label sent on request — email [email protected] with your order number. International returns are at the customer's expense.

How long do refunds take? +

Refunds are processed within 3 working days of receiving your return at our depot. The refund hits your card 5-10 working days later (timing depends on your bank). Stripe handles all refunds — they appear as "LuxuryTrex" on your statement.

Can I exchange instead of return? +

Yes — email [email protected] with your order number and the item you want instead. We'll send a returns label, and once your original arrives back we ship the replacement at no extra cost (provided the new item is the same value or less; if more, we invoice the difference).

What if my item is faulty? +

Anything that fails within 12 months due to a manufacturing defect — we replace or refund, no questions. Wear and tear from normal use is not a defect (a leather wash bag developing patina, for example, is desirable). Email [email protected] with photos and your order number.

Do personalised items qualify for returns? +

No — personalised or monogrammed items cannot be returned unless faulty, due to their bespoke nature. We always confirm personalisation details before production to avoid mistakes.

Payment & checkout

What payment methods do you accept? +

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna for orders over £30 (3 interest-free instalments). Checkout is handled by Stripe — your card details never touch our servers.

Is checkout secure? +

Yes — all payments process via Stripe, the same checkout used by millions of businesses globally including the BBC, Shopify, and Amazon. SSL-encrypted end-to-end. Your card data never reaches our servers.

Do prices include VAT? +

Yes — UK and EU prices shown include 20% VAT. International orders (US, Canada, Australia) are shown inclusive of VAT but VAT is removed at checkout for non-UK addresses; you may be liable for local import duties on arrival depending on destination.

Can I pay in instalments? +

Yes — Klarna is available at checkout for orders over £30, splitting into 3 interest-free monthly payments. Full eligibility decision happens during Klarna checkout (subject to credit check). No fees.

Products & sizing

Are your leather products real leather? +

Yes — every leather product is full-grain or top-grain genuine leather (specified per product page). We never use bonded leather (leather scraps glued to fabric) or "genuine leather" (the lowest grade). Where we use PU/vegan leather (e.g. some valet trays, the watch roll), it's clearly labelled as such and chosen specifically because the material outperforms genuine leather for the application.

Where is your leather sourced? +

German calf leather: Bavarian tannery. Italian calf leather: Tuscan tannery near Florence. Top-grain Italian leather: Bologna. All vegetable-tanned and aniline-finished. We name the leather origin on every product page.

How do I care for leather products? +

Wipe monthly with a slightly damp cloth, dry immediately. Apply neutral leather conditioner every 3-6 months — we recommend Saphir Renovateur as the gold standard, or Kiwi Neutral as a budget alternative. Avoid prolonged sunlight, alcohol-based cleaners, and pooled water. With this care, full-grain leather lasts 15+ years.

Will my laptop fit in the leather laptop bag? +

The Vintage Leather Laptop Bag fits up to 14.5" laptops. Confirmed compatibility: MacBook Pro 14, Dell XPS 14, ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 13.5". For 15-16" laptops, fit is tight; for 16"+ a dedicated larger bag is needed.

How do I know if RFID protection works? +

All our RFID wallets are independently tested at 13.56 MHz (the ISO/IEC 14443 standard for UK contactless cards). Verified to block UK debit cards, credit cards, Oyster cards, hotel keycards, and contactless office passes. Cards work normally when removed from the wallet.

Are crystal items lead-free? +

Yes — every crystal piece in our catalogue is lead-free crystal (made with potassium oxide instead of lead oxide). Same brilliance and refractive quality as traditional lead crystal but safe for daily use, including with acidic spirits and wines.

Gifting

Can I send an order as a gift? +

Yes — at checkout, you can add a different shipping address to your billing address. We don't include a paper invoice in the parcel by default — your order receipt is emailed to you. The recipient gets the items in branded LuxuryTrex packaging with no pricing visible.

Is gift wrapping included? +

All items ship in branded LuxuryTrex packaging suitable for gifting without additional wrapping. We don't offer a "premium gift box upgrade" because the standard packaging already presents well — you save the markup.

Can I include a personal message? +

Yes — at checkout there's an "Order Notes" field. Anything you write there gets printed on a small card and slipped inside the parcel before dispatch.

What's the best gift under £50? +

Do you have a physical store? +
